Character Questions:
1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon, or who is someone they miss the most and why?

The person Senku has the closest ties with in canon is probably his childhood friend Taiju. Despite being his natural opposite in the brains vs. brawn department, he and Senku have been entwined in each other's lives since elementary school. Senku respects and trusts him, and they rely on each other in the areas in which they have weaknesses – with Senku depending on Taiju's strength and resilience in the face of the most overwhelming of odds, where Taiju implicitly trusts Senku to be able to find the optimal solution to any given problem. Despite being the "brains" of the operation as it were, though, Senku highly values Taiju's thoughts and down-to-earth perspective, never holding his lack of knowledge against him or as a way to see himself as superior. Indeed, Taiju is the first person Senku was waiting for to awaken after him, and very early on, Taiju cracks a practical puzzle that Senku had overlooked – the fact that if he needed alcohol for his experiments, he could easily obtain it by fermenting grapes, which were available in great quantity.

2. What are they most afraid of and why?

This is a bit of a complicated question, since Senku is not especially driven by fear in general. He has a healthy respect for his own life, of course, and he certainly has shown fear in life-or-death situations before, but he isn't especially haunted by any deeply rooted fears. In the context of his canonpoint, probably his greatest fear is that he and his people fail to succeed in their mission of getting to the moon and discovering the truth of the petrification disaster 3700 years ago and thus leaving the door open for "Why-Man" (the suspected source/potential culprit of said disaster) to re-petrify all of humanity and being unable to restore civilization/ultimately going extinct as a species, especially because there is a limited amount of certain crucial materials needed for society to rebuild, and the majority of them (e.g. rare earth minerals like platinum) were already lost in the first disaster. And though he would likely not think explicitly in these terms, it'd be very upsetting for him to fail all of his friends and have no further moves to make to try to salvage things, since he's very much the "never give up" sort.

3. What are their emotional, mental, and physical weaknesses and why?
Mental: Although Senku can occasionally manipulate a situation by withholding information or figuring out in advance a way to draw someone to his side, he is not someone who minces words or engages in social niceties for the sake of them. He doesn't hesitate to say so if he thinks something is illogical or foolish, which can cause problems. There are a few occasions in which Senku ends up unintentionally thwarting or nearly thwarting Gen's intentions for a particular negotiation, such as their first meeting with Amaryllis when he simply outright asks if she's seen the treasure box they're looking for, or when he intends to ask Ryusui directly to fly the hot air balloon when they're trying to survey the area in search of the Sagara Oil Fields. Kohaku also comments on occasion on how Senku doesn't particularly seem to care about how his words and actions are perceived, as evidenced by how he continues to refer to her as a gorilla or lionness despite her consistent annoyance with it.

Emotional: Senku is a person who is deeply uncomfortable with vulnerability and his own emotions. He dislikes physical affection enough that he physically ducks Taiju's attempts to hug him when they finally reunite after a year apart, and he literally needs to be tricked by Gen into revealing his birthday to be celebrated by the others. He generally tries to avoid expressing anything sentimental, even when it's sometimes obvious from his actions, and the times when he can't avoid tearing up, he covers or lowers his face to hide it from others. Tsukasa notes once that his greatest vulnerability is that he won't leave anyone behind, yet despite this, Senku generally never expresses his attachment to others beyond their practical value to the Kingdom of Science. This extends to everyone in his life, even his adoptive father Byakuya. One of the more tragic elements of his storyline includes the fact that when Byakuya, an astronaut, went up into the ISS, he skipped an opportunity to speak with Senku, knowing his son would prefer not to disrupt his research for such things-–this would turn out to be the last opportunity he would ever have to speak to him before the petrification disaster, and he would die of old age thousands of years before Senku's awakening.

Physical: Senku is simply not very strong physically! He has arguably lower than average stamina as well for sustained physical activity, and a somewhat low tolerance for intense temperatures.

4. What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?

Senku is in most ways an extremely straightforward young man – he makes no illusions about himself and is upfront bordering on being insensitively blunt at times. However, the primary discrepancy between the person he is and the person he presents himself as is in the matter of sentimentality. He shows an apparent distaste for such things to the point that his adoptive father made a joke about it in a message he left for Senku to find someday, physically dodges hugs, and never expresses direct, verbal affection, yet the rest of his behavior is not consistent with such a cold, callous person. He claims his decisions are entirely driven by logic and practicality and that he follows the most efficient path possible to achieve his goals, but he will go out of his way not to harm others and respect their wishes even if it's inconvenient. He'll readily put himself in harm's way to protect his friends even in situations where he's tactically more valuable himself, and he won't ever leave anyone behind.

5. What would make them happiest and why?

At his core, Senku is honestly a simple kid – the ideal scenario for him would be to have unlimited resources (time, money, etc) to simply go about investigating all the mysteries of the universe just for knowledge's sake alone. He genuinely loves to do science experiments simply to learn more about how the world works and nothing would fill him with more joy than to keep finding new things to learn about for the rest of his life.

6. What characteristics does someone need to have to be your character's ideal significant other?

Senku is heavily disinterested in romantic relationships, but when it comes to those he surrounds himself with and specifically those who end up as close, trusted allies, he is most drawn to those who are competent, confident, and passionate. People who have honed their chosen skills to an intense level and are highly driven to continue to do so. There is a dramatic variety in the personalities of the people who get closest to Senku across canon, but across the board it's clear that diligence, perseverance, and sincerity are at a premium with him.

7. Would your character make a sacrifice to save someone else and why or why not?

Without hesitation. While Senku sees himself as a highly logical and pragmatic person, and while that is by and large true, there is absolutely no ruthlessness to his practicality. He is actually a very kind person, for all that he isn't especially good at being vulnerable and sensitive, and the impulse to take on all risks himself rather than endanger anyone else is always his first. Early in the show, when Tsukasa kidnaps Yuzuriha and uses her life as a bargaining chip for Senku's surrender, he does not even think about risking her life to protect himself, despite her protests. This is something he's called out about later, as well, when he tries to pass down all his scientific knowledge to Chrome in case he dies during a certain risky mission; his default go-to tends to be "I'll protect you", rather than to mutually defend each other – though he gets better about this over the course of canon.

8. What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance, or if your character is young, what is one thing they would want their older self to remember?

This is a question Senku would probably find deeply difficult to answer if he were actively presented with the opportunity. His initial, pragmatic impulse would be that he could use his experiences to warn himself (and thus society) about the impending collapse of civilization due to the global petrification disaster. However, if he were to do that, a number of his friends would never have been born, and it's also difficult to account for whether there would be unintended consequences to tampering with the past like that. With all that in mind, he'd probably tell his younger self not to miss chances to spend a moment with people he cares about. Science isn't going anywhere, after all. He has his whole life ahead to pursue it.

9. When in dire circumstances does your character fight, flee, freeze or fawn and how does that look?
A fairly even split between fight and flee, depending on the scenario! Senku is a highly pragmatic individual who is able to keep calm even under intense pressure – to the point that he's found himself in situations where he had to do advanced physics calculations in his head on the spot with his life on the line, so whether he chooses to fight is entirely a matter of whether he believes he can win in a specific circumstance. He is not at all above escaping to regroup and re-plan so he might live to fight back another day instead. However, he's not interested in killing, either, so his idea of fighting is often more in line with guerilla tactics and taking out the enemy's capacity or willingness to fight back than direct confrontation – which is especially suitable for him since he's regularly the underdog in terms of sheer force or power.

10. Why did your character make the wish they did?

It's likely that with Senku, the wish was largely a passing wistful thought moreso than one he'd actively considered; as a man who is very firmly grounded in reality and the here-and-now, he is not someone who spends a lot of time chasing hypotheticals, and any dreams he does have are ones he will generally try to grasp with his own two hands rather than passively wish for. However, his adoptive father would've died 3700 years ago from old age due to having accidentally escaped the petrification disaster, and Senku missed out on the last chance he ever had to speak to him, with his father knowing he'd rather focus on his research. It's seen in canon that he is deeply affected by this, as well as the realization that his father spent the rest of his life trying to set things up for Senku to restore civilization someday (i.e. discovering his "treasure box" and knowing he must have spent decades panning rivers for tiny flakes of platinum to gather as much as he had) rather than settle down and try to enjoy what comforts he could of life after the fall of modern civilization. He would want to see Byakuya again simply because he loved him, even though he would think such a flight of fancy to be a waste of time and energy to dwell on when there are much larger and more pressing concerns. It's essentially an "I wish I had a million dollars" type of wish – desired, but likely dismissed as childish and unreasonable.
